I built a computer about a year ago and the computer keeps freezing for no reason at all. I noticed was using a very low memory cpu and was trying to run Vista despite the fact it didn't meeting the requirments. This was actually due to the company i ordered the gpu from sending the incorrect product.

Since i first ran the computer it kept freezing which probbably isn't that suprising but i thought i would install XP and see if the same problem occured and it didn't even finish installing before freezing. Why might this be.

The motherboard doesn't have a built in gpu so can't use that.

Could you post up your full specs please?

If you have alot of RAM or if you have your motherboard to full RAM capacity you may need to change the voltages either on the RAM itself or the northbridge.

It could be loose connections, but i am sure you have tried that over the course of your troubles :P

You can run vista on integrated graphics, so the graphics won't be an issue at all.

If we can find, as i said up there, your full specs, would make it easier to pinpoint the problem
