My Computer Keeps Shutting down

Hey Peeps wonder if anyone out there can offer me some help!!

My comouter tends to shut down and restart of its own accord, usually when i'm gaming but sometimes not, games always tend to fail a lot on my computer and crash. My comp is fairly good and i'm underclocking my cpu to try and help it aswell.

Could be trojans, virii, spyware. But I think space was the culprit. Burn as much stuff that you don't need as you can on CD/DVD?
 
my comp did that recently!
it can be spyware, trojan, bugs and driver error and programmes are not installed properly!
check your device maneger, see if there are any corrupted files!!
scaned your comp with any anti spy or virus!

I suppose lack of disk space could be an issue but i know it has been happening before i was down to this low space. i went on a deleting mission so i could properly defrag.

I am using Bit Defender at the min as my anti virus protection. I scan with that and it never really tends to find anything. Do you know if this programme is good enough to get rid of trojons and such like?

Provided you keep/kept it up to date then it should be ok. You might consider doing a virus check off a safemode or bootdisk if you want a more thorough check. Might be worth having a spyware check too. Heres a link to Spybot: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html

yes, this can easily be spotted if your computer reboots when you open a program, or start a file transfer or something CPU intensive. if the PSU is faulty it will shutdown when under stress.
