My Computer usually freezes...

My computer recently has gotten into a few problems. It just keeps lagging. I have this ram (VBScript) file and I occasionally use it even though I don't know what it really does. Now whenever I try to open the internet, sometimes it won't even load. Same with some of my programs. Whenever I use one it just freezes after a while, and there's no way for me to shut it down. I try shutting down the process, but even the process won't stop, and the program is still running, with a (Not Responding) message attached with the window screen name. I try doing 'End Now' but the program doesn't close, even though I did report several times already. And when I turn off my computer, sudden everything starts working again. Programs close and open, but I can use them, because Windows is already shutting down! Any ideas on solving this problem??

Thanks in advance.

What's your PC specs? OS? and Antivirus?

OS is Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3.

Specs? Um..I think these are the specs;

Computer:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual
Core Processor 4200+
2.21 GHz, 1.87 GB of RAM
Physical Address Extension

OS is Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3.

Antivirus system is AVG and Spyware Terminator.

Also, most of the time when I first turn on the computer, it would freeze completely, and I would have to force restart or force shut down manually a few times until it really gets going. Anyone else have this problem???

Download Real Temp, run that and check your temps - Just incase your heatsink has come loose, we will be able to tell from the temps. Also Download and install Malwarebytes, scan with that. And aswell with Hitman pro, its trialware but will work for 30days. Give it a try cant hurt.

Oh, and I deleted the VBScript..seems it didn't really help, but I'll try downloading the programs you've suggested, TEKKA. But please don't close this topic yet, though. I still need to try the stuff out first...
