My Conclusion About Computers: Building vs Premade

Over the past few weeks I've been getting my belongings all packed up so I can make my move to university. I will be living in residence. Within these past few weeks I've made certain purchases, I still have to buy a computer to take with me. I've come up with a few different conclusions, not only with computers and accessories but also with things like furniture. Today I am only going to give my conclusion about computers and accessories.
My conclusion is as follows. Depending on what type of computer you are looking to buy, basically the spec's, it may come cheaper to purchase it pre-built opposed to building it yourself. As for accessories similar concept, depending on what your looking for it comes cheaper to sometimes buy each item separate opposed to a value-pack.
I finally drew my conclusion about the computer after seeing a advertisement by HP for a Core 2 Quad computer with 2 GB ram and 640 MB hard drive and a GeForce 7350 LE Video Card with TV Remote for only 1200.00. As for the accessories I noticed it with SD cards, that it came cheaper to buy them individually opposed to a 3 pack.

So your epiphany was, and I'm fumbling here because what you said was kind of a large mess and confused me, that maybe sometimes it's possibly cheaper to build and maybe sometimes it's possibly cheaper to buy prebuilt? Good work, I guess.

you forgot os(100 to 150) tv tuner (60ish) and remote(cheap? i have no idea lol)

im assuming tv tuner b/c of the remote, but if no tv tuner it dosent matter, still way cheaper to go build-your-own allllll the time

I got my PC (Acer t180) for $249 on sale from $399.. I got an excellent deal, but it doesn't happen often.. and I've put $500+ into it since, not because it needed it.. but because I wanted to upgrade it.

The case, mobo, HDD, card reader, optical drive and so on could have been purchased for around $250, but having Vista pre-installed is what made it an excellent purchase.

I hate to burst your bubble, but 1440x900 is not 1080p, per your signature text. If it's an LCD, it's 900 lines scanning progressively.

1080p is 1920x1080 with progressive scan lines, all LCDs are progressive, but most can display interlaced (e.g 1080i).
