I have a problem with my CPU. Before this, my cpu temp is at 58 Celcius and higher. But now My CPU never reach 50 even in gaming only at 53 C. I'm using MSI Combo mainboard, Pentium 4 2.8 GHz 775 socket, 512 MB DDR-2, 80 GB IDE hard disk, PCX 6600 GT 256 MB and intel's stock fan for CPU cooler. No change has been made juz a little shake to my computer before this and i restarted my computer. That is when the situation was begin

Besides the fact that the temp is lower, nothing is wrong with it right? All it can take is a shake to move the heatsink, on our family PC is was around 60C idle, then i touched the heatsink and the temp dropped to 55C idle. I wouldnt worry about it, Intel's CPU's usually get really hot.

the temp is lower and you see it as a problem? lol
i dont know how that came about but its not really a problem unless your temps start rising to high levels

Run a benchmark and see what happens. Other than that, lower temps is good, be thankful for that. 60c is getting on up there. :)

omg that is a little way uber hot.
mine is at 25c.

newheatsink? or is this how hot the cpu should be?

cena has a P4 which are known to be hot, you have an amd athlon which runs much cooler

50C is a tad hot, but its not that much higher than normal. I wouldnt worry about it at all unless you notice a difference in performance.

I run the benchmark and it's all ok. Moreover my cpu only 36C in idle. Very weird and never happen before. I would like to overclock it. Can tell me how much speed that it can handle?
