Hi, my computer used to work perfectly fine. It never used to turn on itself after power outage was restored.
Once it happened that I accidentally put the BIOS password on the motherboard. I forgot the BIOS password so in order to restore it, I did two things(1. Upgraded my firmware version of BIOS which didnt restore the password, 2. Cleared the CMOS password by plugging out the plugs by looking at the manual of the motherboard and again putting them back on the appropriate place)
The password was successfuly cleared off but the only issue I've been having after that is that when power failure occurs; upon its coming back the computer turns off itself(despite of the reason that the settings required to keep the computer as "OFF" upon the power failure through the BIOS are done appropriately) Please help me out here

Don't know about your BIOS but one of my settings says "Restart computer after AC Failure" or something similar to that. If you switch that off that should work.

It probably went like that once yOu removed CMOS it would of cleared BIOS settings.

^ Correct, I believe the option is called: "Restore Power After AC Loss" and if you want the system to stay off, it should be set to OFF.

guys, i've the settings in my bios as : "Keep the computer OFF upon power failure" but still the computer switches on upon power failure
please help me out wid this

@linkin,
ofcourse i had saved the settings. . . no matter how many times i goto my BIOS to make it sure that settings are set to "Keep the computer OFF on power failure " the settings are already set to "Keep the computer OFF on power failure"

Maybe, I know that you already upgraded BIOS, but look if theres an update, maybe they released one recently after that to fix the issue your having.
