My E8400 core temp

Right now I am idling at 39-40
I have an antec 900 with all 3/4 fans on the high setting, one on low with a Arctic cooler freezer 7 pro for a cpu cooler with its stock paste, is this a high temperature for my setup or normal for my setup?

What motherboard are you using, and what program is giving you those temperatures? It's probably inaccurate.

The P35 chipset has known issues with its temperature readings for the E8400, Google "E8400 temps" or similar to see for yourself.

I hear RealTemp is best for 45nm processors, you might try using that.

But rest assured your processor almost definitely isn't as hot as it says it is.

edit: inaccurate as in sounds high.

Its known for the E8400's to give weird readings like that. Try using RealTemp for more accurate readings.
