My ethernet is connected, but I can't go online

My ethernet cable is connected to my computer and my router (the green light on the router confirms it). But I get the yellow cautionary sign on the lower bottom right of my screen saying I do not have internet access. All my other computers have internet access. What do I do?

Bad cable, bad ethernet card, bad driver for ethernet card, bad port on router, firewall blocking the connection. Could be a bunch of different things. What have you tried so far to fix it?

The yellow cautionary sign could indicate IP address conflict, thus showing partial-connectivity. If other nodes can still connect to the router, this could indicate an IP problem. Is your internal IP address static? If so, you better set it to dynamic (maybe even for all the other computers) in order to prevent conflict. The method of going about this is different on the various Windows platforms...

Also, a quick try: If on Win XP, right click the cautionary sign and click 'repair', or if on Win7, disable & re-enable your LAN adapter.
