Iv just noticed on the case i used for my pc the side panel fan seems to suck IN air instead of blow it out:eek:i take it this is not normal and the guys who made the case have put it in wrong? or is there some reason behind it...

yes some suck in air to ventilate the system, other act as an exhaust fan (usualy on back of case) :)

So long as you have a fan blowing air out then the one sucking air in serves a purpose and works better otherwise i would turn those ones around :)

Front panel fan(s) should blow air into the case.
Rear panel fans(s) should blow air out of the case.
Side panel fan(s) should blow air in.

Side panel fan(s) are usually mounted low to blow air into the AGP/PCI-E/PCI cards to aid in their cooling.
Some side panel fan(s) are mounted high to blow air to the processors heatsink/fan. I don't particularly like these because I'd rather it blow air to the PCI area.

Hope this helps.
