Where are you getting the parts?

The Antec 300 has no cable management.
Diablotec power supplies are junk.
Could probably get GSkill memory just as cheap with better price/timing and voltage.

I am not to worried about the cost. I was planning to spend around a $1,000. I just want everything to be close to what I am wanting to use the computer for. I have been told that the AMD might be best for PhotoShop and working with lots of photos.

I have had all Dells in the past and I would like to try to build something maybe better and to be able to add what I want.

So here is what I have so far.

intel is always best really, but for what you want i'd grab the 960t and it has the possibility to unlock 2 more cores which is where photoshop and similar things benefit from. then grab the cooler master hyper 212 plus and overclock it some.

Then spend more on a case. These will give you better air flow. Better quality. Constructed better.

As far as processors. The 960T is a 6 core with 2 cores disabled. You do have a chance to unlock the extra cores, but its not a guarantee. The 970 in general will overclock better. Your choice. Or you could even go with the Zambezi FX-6100. The Zambezi is alittle slower clock for clock to the Phenom II, but overclocks alot better.

If you want to overclock you would need a aftermarket cooler. Mid range coolers.

all looks good, you could always get a better gpu, and i'd prob get a cheaper case if it meant going up to a 6850 or 6870, look at the haf 912 if you want to do that, there are also a lian li or 2 down at about 60 i think too, but i think their shipping was 10 and there was a nicer one with free shipping for 70. and lian li are some of the highest quality, but corsair is right there behind them and to me they look alot cooler, and cooler master are some of the cooles and are good quality too as long as you don't go for their cheaper ones, idk bout those
