My First Build - Compatability Check

Well, the first build that I am doing, I am doing for my IB Personal Project, and I need to know if these parts that I've picked out are compatible, and just generally accepted by the gaming community. I plan to play some Minecraft, Starcraft 2, Battlefield 3, and MW3 on this. The graphics don't have to be Ultra at 300+ FPS, but playable. Onwards.

Processor:

So, are all these parts compatible? Any suggestions where I could improve on something for just a bit more cash? Any comments in general are moar than apprecianted. Thanks yous.

Check newegg for better prices, except for the CPU, that's a good price. Same I paid for mine.

850w is overkill. You can get away with a 600w. Look for corsair, antec, silverstone, seasonic, pc power and cooling, NZXT, or xfx.

Get a good CPU cooler so you can overclock that CPU.
 
You've done well, all parts are compatible, but I have some suggestions, and do you have to buy from compusa? There might be other places that are cheaper, like tigerdirect or newegg. I can understand if you just want to buy from one place for simplicity of delivery.

In any case, I'll use newegg as an example for some things I'd change. I'd change the motherboard to an ASRock, this one specifically:

It's slightly more expensive but has a 12+2 VRM phase compared to the gigabyte's 8+2. The VRM's are used to filter down power to the CPU and memory, and more of them means each one is under less load, and can last longer. It also means if you ever overclock, you shouldn't have to worry about your motherboard catching fire. I also have this board, and I can testify to it's quality and features.

I'd also change the CPU to this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819106012

Reason being that FX is slower than Phenom II. Thuban (X6) is faster than Deneb (X4) which is still faster than FX. Don't ask why AMD managed to make a slower processor than the one it replaced... it doesn't make much sense.

I'd also change the powersupply. CoolerMaster aren't the best, and you also don't need 850 watts for a 560 ti build. You can save money by going with this unit, of which I also own:

Cases are personal preference, but Thermaltake aren't really the best quality. I'd rather go with a CoolerMaster, Fractal, Corsair, Lian-Li, or somesuch case.

If you go for an LG drive, make sure it comes without the "BlueBirds" software. More like malware...

The thing about the CPU is, the Ghz (Is that clock speed?) Is only 2.7Ghz. Will that be a problem? I think so, as I won't be multi tasking as much, but I know from what I've read that that rate must be higher to get the most performance out of each core. Also, are the Mobo and Processor that much better? In a percentage, how much more would I be getting?

Tigerdirect and Compusa are basically the same company. Compusa actually bought out Tigerdirect.
