Hi all. i'm new here but been lurking for a while. anyway, i just built my first computer. using my old case Antec Sonata II and just replaced the PSU with Antec Earthwatts 500w. CPU is Core 2 Duo E6600 with Asus P5NSLI.CPU cooling is zalman 9500. HD just replaced it couple days my old one crap on me, Maxtor 250g sata 16mb buffer. memory are generic 1g DDR2 4200 533 mhz. video card is evga 7600gt. everything should be in stock form didn't OC yet. can some guide me how to please.

just out of curiousity, why did you go with the slower ram and weak mobo? by weak I mean future upgrades will cost more in the long run.

i got this mobo cuz it was pretty cheap and it was sli and i thought being sli it will be good also it's Asus and last board i have was asus and i liked it. having said that i think i might return it because i think it's defective cuz everytime i change something in the bios it wont boot up and i have to reset cmos all the time. have any suggestion of mobo please let me know budget will be $100 or less. bout the ram i had them laying around so i might as well use them. :D i'll eventually get a better ram in the future so i'm no rush with that.

Hehe i see you've gotten rid of the pesky air cage... silly toy ;)
