My First Solo Build.

Hello everyone!
I'm looking for a little insight on my Build.
I'm a big Gamer/Multimedia guy,
which is what this build will be used for.

MOBO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128387
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103650
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231241
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152035

If anyone could tell me if everything looks okay and is compatible?
Being how this is my first solo build, I don't wanna mess it up.
I appreciate it very much, and if any additional info is needed,
just let me know!
Thank you very much.

Very nice so far, although I'd highly recommend a Corsair PSU instead, they're more expensive, but much higher quality.

Also, what GPU do you intend on using?

Oh, and I'd highly recommend Western Digital hard drives! :)

So I'm good to go with that build?
Everything looks good?
I've never built solo before, So that really boosts my confidence!
Thanks :)

As for Graphics, for the time being I'm using my Geforce 9800GT
I got it a few months back before Circuit City went down, excellent deal on it.
And I've already got a 1 TB Western Digital :)

And with this build?
How long do you think it'll be before I have to do another upgrade?

Looks good i would just go for a few corrections.
PSU:

CPU:

I chose this cpu over the 4core, becuase this is a balck edition meaning higher overclock and an easier overclock, you really won't be able to tell much a difference, but if you want that extra core, then you can unlock it so it allows you to use the 4th core(only on certain motherboards)

But my estimate would be; It would last 2+ years on games and such

Yup, looks great, as I said, you may want to purchase a Corsair PSU instead, but besides that is looks awesome! :)

And it's a pretty up-to-date system too... the PIIs (not to be confused with this, don't get that, you'll be greatly disappointed) just came out in February this year. But then I can't say when something completely revolutionary will come out that you just have to have. So let's just say that it'll be up to date as long as can be expected, after all, it's a computer.

EDIT: Here's a good PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139004&Tpk=550W%20Corsair Basically everyone admits that Corsair makes the best PSUs.

As far as the CPU is concerned, I'd stick with quad core... if you want to overclock this would make an awesome processor (or even if you don't want to overclock for that matter.)

Awesome, thanks for the input everyone!
I appreciate the help :)
I'm thinking I'm going to go with the Corsair.
I also have 1 last question,
I'm not planning on doing any overclocking atm,
should I get a CPU Cooler? or will the stock be enough?
This is my first Quad Core.

If you're not overclocking I think the stock cooler will do fine. However, there are really good coolers out there for not much money. Maybe take a look at some and see if you would like to spend 50-80 dollars more? It's always a good investment. But not needed in your situation.

I agree, unless you live on the far side of mercury or plan on overclocking you should be covered with the stock cooler, after all, it is meant to work with the CPU it comes with. :)
