When he tries to play a game it pops up with an error message saying the V RAM is all gone. The game worked fine wtih him before, and it's not a shared video problem, (Assuming that shared video has to do with multiple accounts on the computer.) Any ideas.

well..shared video does not have to do with multiple accounts on the pc...shared video means the whole system uses this amount...so 256 mbs of shared memory needs 128 mbs to run windows xp the rest will be used for games plus whatever else is running in the background. This could very well be an issue

Well he didn't have anything out of the ordinary running, only thing that was on the taskbar was sound. Remember it worked perfectly for him before, but it just suddenly crapped out on him. Any ideas?
