My friends CRAZY over his CFx system

Hi, my friend is about to build his AMD based system. The build consist

AMD MSI K9A2 motherboard
AMD Q550
Transcend 4GB ram
4670 in CF, later CF a 4850
500W Thermaltake PSU!
Thermaltake V9

Hmm im pretty concerned about this build, first of all does he really need 3 cards in a system just playing simple games like css? Im pretty sure but ATI allows other different models to CF, lemme know if thats true or not and second is there any advantages with having a 4850 in that system and lastly he thinks the 500W will keep him up and running. Also his gonna do a little overclocking!

Would this build work? im pretty sure he would with a 550-600 watter but not sure with a 500W

Any replies thanks :)

i have a 550 watt thermaltake psu and i have ordered a corsair750 psu because my psu cant handle another 4850 in crossfire, i dont think there will be a benifit in mixing graphics cards.

even if you could get them to work the psu wouldnt cope, 3 gpus and overclocking? think thats stretching it a bit.

tell him to stick to 2 gpu's and find out what amps the psu is pushing on the 12volt rail, compair the amps produced by the psu and how many amps the cards will need!

you dont want to push it cos damage could be caused

haha thats cool hopefully he switches out them things, later on this week im getting a HIS 4850 ICEQ 4 which i can't wait for! and cool ive reached silver member :)
