my laptop turns itself on

it only does it when its on low battery. if i put it to sleep when there is low battery, it will try to turn itself on again, the fan goes on for like a tiny bit and then there is a click, and if i open it, it will turn itself on, if i leave it, it will stay on for a bit (even when its on 0%), then it will shut down with no warning, and tells me i didnt shut down my computer properly, i didnt want to shut it down, lol, so if someone could help that would be nice. thanks.

forgot some info about the comp

make: packard bell
cpu: amd athlon p340 2.2 ghz
ram: 4gb
gpu: ati mobility radeon hd 4250
hdd: 320gb
os: windows 7 home premium 64-bit

Check the power settings. If configured by default, it will power on out of Sleep to Shut Down when the battery becomes low enough.

So basically, check your power settings in Windows for what to do when the battery reaches a certain percentage.
