my "mb of RAM" shown in system deCREASED!!!

hey guys... i have a problem.. or question... whichever it relates too.. well, i have noticed that my ram shown in my sytem properties decreased.. i dont know why.. well, i originally had 512.. but then after i got that "aurora/nail.exe".. it shows 504 only.. any reasons?

well, yea the "Aurora/Nail.exe" is one of the nastiest spyware you can get because its almost impossible to remove unless u get expert help. spyware removal tools like S&D, Ad-Aware, etc... cannot delete it.. some can, but they just delete the file, and not the registry and main core of "Aurora/Nail.exe"... but i got it removed already completely already and thats when i realized that my "mb of RAM" decreased that little 8 mb from 512 to 504... is that an issue?

well, im not familiar with that... but im thinking... no? is it like videos clips i have? if that.. then yes i have... but well, i was reading and i have found that the "aurora/nail.exe" is a trojan/virus i think... if im not mistaken.. its not a spyware although it is put under "spyware".. if that helps any as in it can affect my mb of RAM. thanks
 
onboard video is a hardware component, instead of having an actual video card inside the computer, your monitor is just plugged into a port which is on the motherboard. The 504 isn't going to be a big deal. It may SAY you have 504, but you actually have 512....as Cromewell said, programs can't just delete RAM.
 
Oh ok.. well, if it helps.. i dont have a PC.. im running on a laptop.. may that be the reason why?.. i have a Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express CHipset..
 
Ah ok the 8MB have probably been dedicated to your video system. The amount should be configurable in the BIOS (to get a key to press should be listed when you turn your laptop on, it's usually delete of one of the 'F#' keys)
