Hey there, if you've been paying attention to the Cases... forum then you will know im preparing for a UT mod on an old K6 system. This thread will now follow me through the entire thing.

19th Aug - Down into town today, bought 2 x Black Gloss Spray Paint (2 x 400ml), 1 x Blood Red Spray Paint (1 x 400ml) and 1 x Grey Primer/Undercoat (1 x 400ml). Total cost was just over £21 (GBP)

Unfortunately its terrential rain downpour at the moment so no spraying will happen today. I'mjust starting to clean the entire case and remove all the AMD stickers etc... Using white spirit as the cleanser which is doing a great job of it.

Still have the job of trying to find out how the front fascia panel comes off, i dont really want to break it, any ideas?

20th Aug - Got the front fascia off of the case which will help a lot when it comes to sraying as there will be little or no masking to be done now. I will probably get the primer paint on today but the rain is threatening again. (Good old british weather).

Does anyone have any ideas how to mask out the power and HDD LED's on the front, they are far too small to be covered by a piece of masking tape, i was thinking perhaps a tiny piece blu-tac or something to stick on top of them??

Anyway, im going to be sanding down the case first, not too far mnid, just to get the initial layer of paint off, then will go the primer which needs a day to dry and at least 2 coats, luckily the coats can be done 10 mins after one another, i dont have to wait a whole day for the first one to dry.

Dragon, make sure that you wash the the parts that you will be painting in soap water, and do not touch it with your bare hands after. It would be best if you used a paint thinner to rid of the paint that is on there and then wash it and paint, but that takes more time.

And sorry if you are doing some of this, I only read your first post.

Most people dont consider 10MB's not very big when hosting something, well i ghuess it depends if its like a e-mail attechment you dont normal thing so but like a DL is different, i dont know now im confussing myself it just depends on the situation. Plus i have plenty of room for files that size.

^if you cant understand that there is nothing inportant in it lol.

anyways yes im downloading it now, and i'll upload it and edit this post in a few minites

I really like how it's going man. Respect. I love the contrast between the RED logo and the black case. Looks heavy. I told you that it would look neat. It's not finished yet though...or is it?

I have yet to spray the drives euither black or red and i want to find a smaller logo to put on the botton of the front fascia, because it looks a bit bland at the moment. Also im looking out for either a red col cathode or a red led strip to put insde it where the holes are.
