Hey guys new here, names Devon and at the current moment I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 but I am saving up for a new laptop from cyberpower. But it will be a while and this laptop needs a better graphics card but I don't know what mother board I have so I don't know what I can upgrade to, help. thanks.

you can upgrade laptop graphics if it is not soldered, and it is a "gaming" or high performance laptop.

On this case, you CANNOT upgrade it as it is an integrated graphics card. Sorry. Same with my old compaq.

Well I appreciate the info guys but I have a question. Why is the card not able to be taken out? I mean what does the company do to make it were they can not be changed?

To save space, the graphics are integrated onto the motherboard...there is no separate videocard to replace. Most laptops are like that.

Well I new about the integrated graphic cards but I didn't think of that cause on dell.com the computers with integrated graphic cards say they are where mine says ATI some number express. But I appreciate it. Thanks

ATI Makes the GPU (Graphical Processing Unit). It just means they used a ATI GPU chip, and slapped it on the motherboard.
