My Network places = BLANK O.o wtf...

hey my old modem blew up (litterally disintergrated the chip inside)

anyways i bought a new modem and it works on my mac BUT i cant get a connection from the modem to my Windows PC going.... i used to have it all set up but atm nothings happening...

i've checked around in My Network places and the Internet Connections folders for Windows XP and they're both blank (im fairly certain they shudn't be)

can anyon help me with setting up a new connection so i can continue to use my own computer instead of the shit-hole mac =D
 
there should be something under the network place or whatever that says connect to then somewhere you should be able to enter a ip address and so on
 
Check your workgroup. Make sure they the computers share a work group. You are attempting to share folder out or?
