This is a gaming system only (COD2, AOEIII)
Here is what I got (previously I had ordered an Alienware):

CASE ASPIRE| XINFINITY BK 420W RTL

MB DFI|NF4 LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR RT

VGA LEADTEK | PX7800GT EXTREME TDH - Retail

POWER SUPPLY|ASPIRE ATX-AS520W BLCK

CPU AMD 64 |3500+ ATHLON 64 939 RT

2 CORSAIR D400 1G VS1GB400C3 R

1 LOGITECH X-530 BLK 5.1 SPEAKER RTL

After S&H it was about $1,200.

My question is :I have a 60GB HD right now and wonder if I should upgrade (heavy gamer) or if this will still suffice for my new system? I may add a new HD tomorrow to add on to my existing HD and may look into a better cooling styem.

i rekon id get a higher rev hard drive like maybe 7200 or even the raptor hard drives which run at 10000 revs but they are more expensive. if you want a bit of music and a few games i would get at least 100gig of the raptor hard drives which are 74 i think.

You don't need a Raptor unless you plan on serving up major data. HDD size only matters for how much stuff you got on your machine, size won't effect what games you can and can't play.

1. Ditch the SLI board
2. Ditch the raptors in favor of cheaper DiamondMax10s with 16MB cache
3. Up the VC to 7800GTX

Since CAS2.5 and CAS3 memory cost virtually the same you may want to get the slightly better performing CAS2.5 stuff :)

Yes indeed but the reason i suggested a drop the NF4Ultra was to preserve the budget and have superior performance (not to mention a more tailored platform) :) of course if the budget suppports SLI + yada yada, i suppose go for it...
