Hello. Well. Basically, i want to build a desktop computer...which..i guess is pretty obvious because im here. For the last year i have been on a notebook....until it..malfunctioned. I sent it away for a while, was stuck using my brother's cheap dell...and..even though it was a dell...after two weeks...i started preferring it to my lappy. So..now..i am contemplating going back to a desktop. I just feel much less restricted. I coudln't upgrade my notebook at all except for Ram, and i found myself becoming an avid gamer. I have never put together a PC before, but i figure im up to the challenge. Basically, its for gaming and school. I plan to do some MMO's so...the graphics card will have to be great. I'm not ready to spend 500 dollars on a 256...but...you get the idea. At least this way i will be able to upgrade later on, unlike with my laptop. Anyway...il probobly go with an AMD...never done it before..but i want to give it a try. I need at least a Gig of ram. The hard drive doesnt need to be large at all. I survived on a 60 with my lappy. And, i definately need a DVD drive and CDRW...though...i dont need to be able to burn DVD's.
Anyway. I'm asking for all your help because, im not up-to-date with any of the components except for graphics cards. My budget is $1000-$1500. Seriously, any help you could give me would be really appreciated.
