Alright, Some of you may know that I've been doing some OC'ing recently, and discovered that I can only get to 2.5GHz, with my current RAM (Corsair XMS2 5400C4). And the C4 ones are supposed to be good OC'ers?

I'm not too sure what to do, I can sell my current RAM and get some new DDR2 800MHz RAM, that will allow me to OC further, as I can 2.8GHz with my CPU at stock volts...

So, Can you link me to some good, cheap RAM in the UK?
I found this; seems a good price:

And, How much would I get for my XMS2? £60?

OR

Should I just settle for 2.5GHz, as it isn't bad for free performance, the gain wouldn't be that much going from 2.5 - 3.0Ghz?

Ideas?

Thanks!

I don't think it'd be worth worrying about mate. I'd be happy enough with 2.5Ghz for the time being. Maybe when your system starts to age (a while yet) you might want to look for the extra processing power.;)

I'm thinking 45.00 UK is too much for +500MHz OC. As nffc10 said, I vote for keep you RAM.

Are you getting any slowdowns at 2.5GHz? If not, then I would say thats a pretty decent OC speed considering the stock is just 1.86GHz...

That's just my Opinion. See you around! ;)

I guess its pretty good... Still annoying though!

How much difference would another 400MHz more make?

Thanks guys :)

I would say about 5-15FPS on games depending on what game it is (not Crysis of course! :P) And Windows Software, I doubt you'll notice a big difference. Maybe, faster loading times for programs such as Microsoft Word or Photoshop...
