My pc loses path to drives/network/favourites

Hopefully the link above works and you will see a screen shot of what i am seeing.
If not I'm having a problem with my pc?/os?/ram?
the basic run down is the computer loses the path to my network, hard drives and basically everything else on my computer.
all you see when your in the file section is on the left side there is a magnifying glass over favourites, computer, network and home group and if i click on it just loads a green bar across the top of the screen in the address bar.
All the data is still there and intact and i can still find things thanks to desktop shortcuts but its becoming really annoying and if i log on and log off its back to normal.

if anyone has a clue on what im expericing that would be tops if you have a soloution!

Hi mate, yes i tried that.... still doing it
i ran clean up and all my virus software but its still doing it:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
have you seen or heard of this happening b4?
 
ALSO! its not even showing my network when this happens but like i said everything is working fine away from the pc like my streaming media player in the bedroom, and all my files are there its just that stupid thing when i open a folder.
