Hey everyone. I went away camping for the weekend and when I came back and turned on my pc. The load up scream stayed on way longer then normal when it's searching for IDE drives. Then it eventually takes me to a black screen where it says disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter? Why does it do this automaticaly does anyone think i can fix it in my bios? Cuz it says it's trying to boot from disk but I want first boot to be from my hdd. Idk what to do lol

Do you know if anyone has used your computer whilst you were away?

Nah man it's pass protected but I was messing around with the bios before I left. When I go into my CMOS it shows an item Beside IDE channel slave called DVD c dh52cj when I click on it. It asks if I wan to auto detect and when I click it nothing comes up under capacity and everything else. It's the same for when I clicky sata 3 one that says atapi ihas220 6. I don't know slot but I think it's not booting the hdd first cuZ it doesn't detect or it's not set to boot first. !edit! Ok I set all my bios CMOS everything back to defults and it goe past that screen to a new one that says nvidia boot agent 253.0543 then says pxe-e61 media test failure check cable then underneath that it says pxemof exiting nvidia boot agent. Then the big disk boot failure insert astem disk n press enter

Hmm try setting it to the first boot device and make sure there isnt anything in the DVD/CD Drives when you put it to boot first ha it happened to me once i was like 'WTF' it will detect your HDD just cant understand why it isnt on this occasion so try setting it to first boot device :good: (And remove CD/DVDs from the drives)

But how do I get it to read m hdd?

Maybe Windows has finally died it sounds like it. It also sounds like its missing a driver try inserting the GPU Driver disk and see if you can boot to that (just a guess)

Sounds like you don't have the right boot order setup. It looks like you got network boot active which you shouldn't. Go back into the boot order and make cd/dvd rom first and then HDD. If that don't work, then make sure you don't have any loose cables. Hopefully you didn't change anything else in the bios.

Try mucking around with your BIOS. I had the same problem with my computer. Do you have two hard drives connected to the same cord? If you do un-install the one without WINDOWS on it. But if you don't i would suggest you change your BIOS and maybe think about re-installing windows
