My Printer up and died

Help please. I was in the middle of printing an article when my Canon BJC-2000 suddenly quit printing.

I've un-installed, re-installed, bought new print cartridges  un-plugged, plugged, cleaned and now I don't know what else to do.

The message now is: A BJCartridge error occurred. Install the BJCartridge properly and close printer.

Done it and done it over and over again. Please don't tell me to take it to the shop.

Thanks, Stella :)

if i remember correctly, the 2000 has tanks that drop into a print head, did you replace the print head, or just the tanks? we have had issues with the heads going bad

That's right bcpetty. I think you've nailed it. When replacing the ink carttridges I removed the 2 ink cartridges and the print head (i think) ... this is the black plastic cartridge holder? I rinsed it under water in case any spilled ink had clogged the openings, then I noticed there is a little 'don't touch' notice on the side.

So, I will check that out further. Probably replace it.

Thanks for your help.
