ok so my ram is 4gig total i have 64bit windows 7 home premium but its reading 2.87 WHY! i have 4gig i want my 4gig can someone help me??? how can i update it my bios says its 4gig ..

Maybe your windows is using the rest of the memory and its telling you the free usable memory for other programs

Totally incorrect Irfan, thats the whole point of a 64 bit OS.

To the OP, please reset CMOS and restart. Post results.

If that doesn't work, please ensure memory mapping settings are correct. Consult motherboard manual for further details.

Also ensure you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard and Windows Updates.

If you have problems with anything above, please download PC Wizard from my sig and install it. Then go to FILE< SAVE AS and click OK. Copy the contents of that text file into this thread.
