my usb cable not showing up.

Does anyone know why my usb cable is not showing up? I tried updating all my stuff but it didn't work. Please give me some advise.

what do you mean its not showing up? in windows? what is it connected to?

Yeah...it'd help if we knew what you were useing the cable for? And what windows version. I mean windows won't show any without something connected to the end

I'm using it for my printer. and the flash disk. Some how the stuff won't pop up like you normally put the flash disk in. I've tried different aspect but it didn't work. I'm using window's xp home edition.

did you turn the printer on? i know when i tried to plug in my camera it will only pop up in windows when i hit the cameras power button.
