Hey, When vista is released im looking at getting a new build to work with it once released.

The sort of components I am looking at getting are as follows:

Gigabyte GA_M59SLi-S5 nForce 590 (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-059-GI)
Link: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Gigabyte_326.html

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ 2.20GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail (CP-168-AM)

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Special Ops XTC Series DDR2 (OCZ2SOE8002GK) (MY-071-OC)
Link: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/OCZ_DDR2_Memory.html

Two of the above memory, so would be a total of 4GB.

EVGA GeForce 7950 GX2 1024MB GDDR3 HDTV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (E592-AX) (GX-009-EA)

Will the above specifications actually run vista on full settings and also still be able to run the latest games? As if it wouldnt then vista is a little OTT as just for the above components it totals to just over £1100 and thats with me reusuing a HDD i already have, case and optical drives. I also have a very good 500W PSU , will that be adequate for the componets?

Thanks, anyone got any other info on vista then feel free to post here.

Thanks once again

It looks fine to me but u might not want to get vista right away. Give it a little bit to work out the bugs and as well find out more about the license agreement. It will really suck if its true that you can only upgrade ur pc once after installing it. And you can only reinstall once.

Ah right, yes I am thinking about this plus got to have all legit software and what not...makes me wonder about it...

That will deffinetly run Vista on full settings, but I would highly recommend buying their new DX10 G80 series cards.

So why are you going with AMD when Intel is better? you shurely have enough money for a Core 2 processor..
