My weird comp

Yesterday, my CD drive was working just fine. Today, I had it unplugged, then I plugged it back in and it wasn't being recognized by the BIOS or by Windows. I tried another IDE cable, and still nothing. The drive is getting power, as I can open it and close it.

The drive is missing here.

The next thing to happen was weird. My computer was running and I plugged my speakers into my computer, and the computer just turned off. I hit the power button and it didn't come on. I flipped the switch on the PSU a few times and it came back on and is working.

Any help and insight is appreciated, Thanks,

Over power draw

Looks like your speakers are drawing a lot of power causing the PS safety device to shut it down.

my computer used to do that, the speakers would be plugged in,and then it'd shut down...and the cd thing happend to me earlier this week,it didn't recognize my cd and dvd drives in windows or in my bios...so i opened up my computer and pushed the wires in a little more to make sure they are working..and that seemed to work...but i didnt unplug em which was strange.
