Mystery noise from NZXT HUSH case

I'm recently getting a very annoying sound coming from my NZXT HUSH case. It's hard to describe the noise exactly – it's not a grinding or buzzing type noise associated with fans – it's more of a rhythmic humming type noise.

I've tested all fans in my system sequentially (i.e. stopping them), but none of the fans are the cause of the noise. PSU, GPU, CPU and case fans are all really quiet.

It's present from the moment I switch the computer on, and the tone of the noise remains constant regardless of CPU/GPU load. Excel or Far Cry 2 – doesn't make a difference.

Out of curiosity, I removed my GTX295 and powered the computer on. Mystery noise gone. However, I know the graphics card isn't faulty since it works perfectly, and the noise is present even with the card's fan set to 0% (vis NVIDIA System Software).

So if all the fans are silent, what could it be? And why would the noise disappear with the graphics card disconnected if the graphics card is working perfectly?

Help! I'm going nuts.

Thanks.

Yup, they're annoying as hell and there's really not much you can do about them. My PSU puts out a decent bit of it too.

Would it be coil whine if the noise is present from the moment I switch the computer on though?

Most information I've come across regarding coil whine points to it happening whilst playing games under various FPS.

I'm getting it straight from powering on, even when I'm not playing games. For example, in the past few days I've just been surfing and using Office, and the noise has been constant throughout. It's not a high pitched hiss or whine, it's a deep, rhythmic humming (I guess).

if it's the coil just like put something over it (assuming its not a hot object) also i think they need to start making cases soundproof lol

I have a similar thing and have noticed that it's my case resonating. I can make it go away by touching the removable side panel so I could probably fix it by putting something between the panel and the case.

Is it humming or vibrating? Because if it's vibrating, moving parts may not be secure enough and are shaking removable case parts.
