n00b question - Do i need an ADSL or DSL router?

Im not too sur eon which type of connection i have - how can i find out??

When i hover over the little icon in the bottom right hand corner of task bar it says 'locla are connection speed : 100.0 Mbps'

Im pretty sure its a LAN conection - what do i need ADSL or dsl?

Also - If i buy a router. If i choose to do it wirelessly can i buy any USB wireless adapter and it would work, or would it have to be made but same company etc...

ADSL and DSL router do the same thing. And it is not a brand...

ADSL is regular DSL While IDSL is like DSL, but across paired telephone wires at MUCH longer distances... You have ADSL, So you a DSL or ADSL router.

And staying branded is usually the best idea when going wireless...
