I'm looking for a NAS with the following features:

HTTP, FTP, PHP, MySQL, BitTorrent support

i googled one a while back but i forgot to bookmark it and now i cant find it. can someone help me find one or point me to the right direction?

i'm looking for something under $200.

Thank you for your help!

well you could use the OEM of windows home server. then you can customize it to however you want it

no. the oem one. you just need a computer to run it on. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116395 If you dont then thats all i got.

Word to that, I just set up the home server OS for a small business and it's honestly pretty impressive. OEM costs $100 and you hardly need anything for hardware. I put it on a 4 year old P4 3ghz, 1gb of RAM old Win XP PC. If you look at the home servers HP sells they have less hardware power than that.

The business I set it up for was honestly shocked with all the features they got with Home Server. A IT consulting business gave them an offer for $3K for a setup they would need outside IT assistance/management. I setup a system more than what they needed with Home Server for $500 that one of there employees with a little knowledge can manage for the most part. I honestly felt guilty about taking $500 from them, but they insisted.

but wouldnt i still need an extra box to install it on? i dont have an extra box. and if i build one, this would be the cheapest i could find to start with. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856167032

any suggestions?

I apologize, sometimes I assume people have the same setup I have with old systems and parts stored up. Yeah you would need another box. My only comment is a NAS is decent, but by looking at your needs I don't think a NAS can do justice to those.

I dont know how powerful your current PC is or what you use it for but virtualization may be an option, I wouldn't recommend it though. Look into VMware Server if your interested, I believe it's free.

Yes, you could do that. I did run into problems (using parallels) but vmware may work.

If you want to give it a try http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/windowshomeserver/countries.mspx it is a free 120 day trial. Then try it with vmware http://www.vmware.com/products/server/ which is also free. This is only if you have a good box (big hard drive mainly).

If not, newegg has a lot to chose from, but i dont think they can do everythign you want it to do. http://www.newegg.com/store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=124&Tpk=nas
