I acquired an old NEC Ready 9910 PC with the AccuSync 90 monitor. It was missing the hard drive so I found a 10 GB drive on eBay, installed Windows 98 SE and it seems to be working okay. The only two things Windows couldn't install drivers for is the network card and modem. I haven't been able to find out much history on this model. Wikipedia has some articles on NEC computers but no mention of this one. I found a Google books copy of PC Magazine from December 15th, 1998 with a very short article (See screenshot). I went to the NEC computer website and it seems they let their domain expire so someone put up a placeholder perhaps thinking NEC will pay to get it back. Does anyone any experience or knowledge about this PC? I'm thinking of making it into an old retro gaming PC but not sure if the 8MB ATI Rage Pro graphics card would work for that. It looks like an old office PC.
