Need A Little Bit Of Help

I am building a new computer I just got my video card in and need help figuiring out y it is not outputting video.

There is no Hard drive in it right now

Specs: ECS 945P-A Motherboard
Corsair TWINX 2048MB PC5400 DDR2 667MHz (2x1024)
PNY GeForce 8800 GT 512MB PCIe w/Dual Link DVI

The fan powers on the video card so i don't think it is DOA. I don't know if i need a HDD for the bios to show up. Any help would be appreciated

Put that video card in the orange slot and try that, also, do the complete build and try it.

this may give you an idea... maybe I didn't read it right but it reads as if you SHOULD run it in SLi mode or else you will need an additional power connection !!

Well just because the fan is working doesn't mean the chip works. There is a possibility that it arrived DOA. But it would be easier to first, like what cohen said, to try it in the other PCIex16 slot. If it had a 6-pin or an 8-pin connector, you need to hook it up to your power supply or else it will not work. And I think you should try it with your hard drive in. If that doesn't work just send it back and get a new one.
