I watch a lot of TV I also use my computer a lot. I'm not a gamer. I have to switch glasses and wait for logins and was wasting time with that. So I figure I'll a setup a 32" 4k LCD monitor and just use the computer. I need help with what card\monitor combo would work for what i want on my existing.
I hope I copied all pertinent info.
Watching TV streaming (Netflix., Prime, Max) on my computer is the number one goal

It depends on what ports you are using on your Acer desktop. You did not specify what you have currently connected.

From what I can see, the computer should have an HDMI port but apparently that's all that it has? Please check the back of the machine as Acer's site is really dumb and the User manual is even more dumber. (generic BS and not model specific)

There are two hdmi ports on the MB labeled HDMI1 and HDMI2 I have no idea on their specs or use for that matter.
I was assuming I would have to replace my current graphics card. The AMD Radeon R5 220 is currently in slot 0. I added the processor specs at the bottom in case its needed.

Both HDMI should be outputs and work without issue. No need for a new card at this point.
Would they work i
n 4k?

I plugged in an HDMI monitor into the HDMI port on the motherboard. Although the screen does turn grayish for a moment it goes away and the power light flashes and says no display. Could this be caused by the fact that there is another graphics card in the pc? I tried to detect the 2nd monitor in display settings but no dice.

You'll need to hook up to the video card unless the system supports hybrid video output which you would have to check bios for that option. It looks like that pc has an R5 310 video card which would have a dvi and an hdmi connection. Are you connected to the video card currently? You'll only get 4k output using a display port connection which you don't have.
