Need a looooong cable for monitor! Ideas needed!

Ive got an ATi 2900XT in the PC in my bedroom. I want to use one of the video outs to my games room. That means running a cable up into the loft then back down in the other room to the TV. The TV is a 27" Samsung but doesnt have HDMI as i got it a while ago(i will be upgrading soon however).

I could use HDMI and then put a HMDI-DVI converter on both ends i guess. Only thing is i dont know if that would still be able to produce Audio when it reaches the TV if its going through a DVI Converter into the TV.

Other than that....other ideas? The distance it about 15-20 meters i would guess.

Try your local electronics store for lengths of video cable, and different plugs etc can be purchased to link a few together, as for sound usually thats a separate cable again originating from your soundcard/mobo to the tv.
 
My graphics card can process sound via HDMI. I just dont know if it can do it when its going through a DVI converter into the TV.
 
lol....i hope it can because running yet ANOTHER cable would be a pain. Also if i have to run a seperate cable for audio i would want optical but 15 meters of optical is going to cost a small fortune!
