ok, i am lookin for a socket 478 mobo with great o/c ability. the mobo i have at the moment wierds out on me when i o/c too far, and i have to reinstall windows. temps are not an issue(idling ~32*c at 3.45ghz), so i think it is the mobo. i really want my celeron to go farther, so i reeeealy want a better mobo. does anybody have a suggestion?

1. Do you have SATA drives?
none at the moment. my current mobo supports sata, but i don't want or need it.
of the mobos in oc 101, the only on i could find was the p4p800-e deluxe. it was a little above what i wanted to pay. any other suggestions?

that mobo was ~120, and i was trying to keep it a bit under $100, maybe ~80. is this too cheap to get a decent o/c able board?

any board will be able to overclock, its just that it might not be stable.

Do you need pci-e or agp?(for some reason i think its been stated)

You really shouldnt have to worry that much about spending less than 100 dollars, almost all of the socket 478 mobos were under 100, expect for one.

i have an agp 6200 at the moment, so i want agp. the only reason i want a new mobo is that my current mobo sucks hard at overclocking, will not even boot at over 3.45ghz. what i'm really looking for is a quality mobo that will not present any issues when i overclock .5ghz and higher, like bigsaucybob said, stability is what i want.

Get a better processor too. Heck I got a D925XCV Mother board for $20 off ebay and you can find p4's to fit it and spend under $100. The board has built in audio, USB2, Firewire, Sata, PCIE x16 and x1 and PCI and 10/100/1000 ethernet. Takes 4gb of ram too, and can be over clocked.
478 or 775? i know there are bette procs than my celery, but my celery is better than the ~2.0ghz p4s i've seen on ebay in that range. regarding that mobo, the features you listed are normal (minus pcie) for most 478 boards. heck, my foxconn crap even has sata.
