Need a monitor

and now I'm looking for a monitor. First off is there anything I need to know about monitor/video card compatibility? (remember this is my first build) In other words are there any restrictions of what I can get in a monitor based on that video card that I have? I'm thinking of spending around 200 bucks and looking for something around a 20" (19-22) widescreen LCD. Any advice at what I should look for, good brands, or good products?

hello... the card you have is dvi-d, most/all monitor do dvi-d, but the only thing is that when you buy monitors they only ship vga cables in the box with the monitor, so you will have to buy a dvi-d cable.....your card can handle any monitor out there.... give me a price range and ill try and look for 1 for you..

I'm thinking 250 is my absolute max... I'd prefer to be closer to 200 but if the extra 50 bucks or whatever gets me a much better monitor I'd do it. I tend to really like samsung products so thats where I was thinking of looking too. Thanks
