Need A New Laptop

I am looking into buying a new computer, here are the things I am looking for:
- i5 or i7
- 2 or 4 cores, preferably 4 with high clock speed or whatever you call the gigahertz thingy lol.
- 8gb of ram
- 1600 x 900 or 1920 x 1080 resolution.
- Dedicated gpu (2gb of it)
- Good battery life and portability and if possible touch screen.
... My budget is about 1000$
- I will be buying this in store in canada.
- My main uses are CS6 (photo editing, graphic design and video editing) and a lot of multi-tasking, I want to be able to surf the web while having iTunes open and photoshop.
- Lastly, no macbook lol only pc laptops with windows 8.

Any ideas or suggestions on what I should get?
 
It is a little bit more but the Samsung Chronos 7 is a awesome notebook for about $1200. quad core i7, Radeon 8770 gpu, 8 GB of memory, 1920x1080 display and listed 6 to 7 hours of battery life. Was looking at one at bestbuy today and that thing makes Apple products look cheap.
 
Those samsungs are pretty nice, I will definitely look into it. Also I have a few questions, integrated or dedicated graphics what do u think, I will be doing light to intermediate graphic design, maybe about 1-2 hours every second day, and same with video editing, I would also like to multitask ex: Chrome with a few tabs, iTunes, Photoshop. What is cache and does it make a difference also 2 cores or 4 cores, high clock speed differences??? All in all what are the main differences in all the main components of a laptop (cpu, gpu, cache etc...)
 
You should try for a dedicated card for what your going to be doing since they have dedicated memory vs shared memory and not to mention are often more powerful.

Now if budget is the problem and integrated fits within your budget then make sure you at least get a Intel Core i7-3740QM Processor (2.7 Ghz) or better since they have the more powerful intel hd 4000 gpu which is just a hair shy or in some cases on par with a Nvidia 630 GT, it is not great but if that is the way you have to go that would be your best bet.

Also remember integrated gpu share system memory which means you should go for at least 8 GB of memory since windows 8 uses 2 by itself, then that will give you 2 GB for the intel gpu and I am sure those programs are also memory hungry as well so you are going to want plenty left over.

Edit: I just did some searching and I could not find a manufacture that would offer that CPU at all, there are some but they are from manufactures like alienware and in that case it would be cheaper to get a high end i5 or or lower end i7 with a dedicated Nvidia gpu.

The i5 in there is not the highest end but not a low end either so you should be fine, the nvidia gpu is a bit better then a integrated gpu and has dedicated memory which is good. I would say that is a nice selection.
