Need a new mobo

I got a mobo that I believe to be dieing on me. It is a SATA wit 2 gigs DDR 400 ram and a 754 socket. Does anyone know where I can get a SATA 3 compatible mobo that takes DDR 400 and SATA AND is dual core compatible for 754? Doesn't have to be SATA 3 but it would be nice. Everything else is a must though. Graphics card needs to be AGP unless you can get me something better than my MSI MS-StarForce GeForce FX 5900XT (NVIDIA GeForce) that will fit the motherboard and still be Nvidia. I would like to upgrade without getting rid of any of my other parts because I am not sure if it is the motherboard, or graphics card, or power supply. But I know all three are getting old so yea, may as well just replace them. AGP graphics card btw.

When I installed and Played Left4Dead, on its lowest settings, it had a very polygonned screen where everything was HUGE stretched polygons and the frame rate was say around... .5. That is with everything updated and all that. I know that could also be my graphics card but I have been having other issues with my board like my processing power being greatly deminished as well as USB ports going out left and right.

Socket 754 is a dead end. Plus AMD never made a dual core 745. Your best bet would be to update the board,CPU and memory.

Ok which combo then should I go with and where can I get it?

That depends on your budget and in the mix tell us what you want to do with your PC. If its for gaming then the answers will be somewhat different than if you told us it is mostly for office work, internet surfing, emailing, and light gaming.

If you can tell us this then we can help in the selection process.

I am in total agreement with StrangleHold in that the 754 is dead. However, you can easily get these boards off of eBay. I purchased an EPoX 9NPA+Ultra (socket 939) because, like you, I had the parts: cpu, memory, and video card. I knew the quality of the board from another build and the person selling it was a techie by profession. Thus I was able to build a second family PC and because my son is not a PC gamer it is perfect for what he needs. So if you decide to do a second build with your parts, as long as you do your research you can find good used motherboards; sometimes brand new as well.

But for your main rig upgrading is the way to go.
