need a power supply

im building a new computer and im way over my budget. so far i have an evga x58 mb, an asus gtx 470, a sony dvd burner,an antec 300 case, a g.skull 6gb ddr1600 ram and an asus 23.6 inches lcd. i still need to buy a hard drive and windows 7. anyway, i need a 650w power supply that good enough for gtx 470( gtx 470 need +12 Volt current rating of 38 Amps) and i need to be cheap so can anyone recommend me one. thanks in advance. also, for window 7, http://www.microsoft.com/student/en/...w/default.aspx will this work for a new build?

One thing you could contemplate doing is getting a GTX 460 1GB instead of a 470, and use that money on a better power supply. im a noob at this, but for the second ps, Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W, its max output is +12v3@25A and gtx 470 requires +12v @ 35A so will it work?

That 35A rating is overall system power. Manufacturers specs are somewhat useless when looking at good quality units. For all intents and purposes you can ignore the 650W requirement as long as the amperage requirement is met...this is only on good quality units, not on cheaper ones(which is why the wattage requirement is there as many people do not look for a good quality unit). Their ratings also do not judge what sort of CPU, Motherboard, etc are used in a system by a user. The earthwatts will easily power the GTX470, it has 540W over the +12v rails.
