Hello, I am new to the posting business, so I will do my best. I have a s3220n Slimline PC. This computer is made by HP. I was looking into buying a 9600gt low profile version for my computer, but it needs a 400w PSU. I do not know much about PSU's, and have done some research, but what I have found is not promising. What I need is a 400w power supply that has the dimensions 3.25 x 1.6 x 8.5 inches. If anyone knows of a PSU that will get the job done, I would be grateful.

Thanks, but I do not believe that I have any free molex connectors. I do, however, have one SATA cable that is going into my DVD drive. What I would like to do is to get a Y-splitter and make that into two SATA cables. The Supplementary PSU that I am planning to buy needs a MOLEX power cable to turn on and off with the computer. Does anyone know it they make sata female to 2 sata males?

Does this sound like it will work?

Here is my idea.
I need to have atleast 400w of power for the galaxy 9600gt low profile version that I am planning to buy. This is my idea to make the molex connector needed for it.
I have a SATA cable going into my DVD drive. I am going to split that cable into two or three others with my SATA splitter. I will convert one of the new SATA male ends into a MOLEX male end with something I found on newegg. I will plug the MOLEX into the supplementary PSU. I will then attach the PCIe x16 power cable from the supplementary PSU to my 9600gt low profile. Does anyone foresee any problems with this setup?
