Hello

Im leaving for an 18 month trek around Asia, and im a keen amatuer photographer. I will be taking my slr kit and need a laptop to take with me to edit pics in photoshop as i travel.

This laptop will be used only for editing pics so as you can imagine i would like a high quality screen

Screen must be 12-13 inches, no bigger.

any reccomendations?

Cheers

if you want to buy a laptop you must see if it contains a good graphic card like radeon mobility hd
and i think fujitsu siemens amilo is very good

hi

thanks for the replies people, i was more concerned with the quality of the screen as i will be editing photos.

Most newish laptops will run PS4 but its the screen im worried about.

Does a better resolution usually mean better quality?

i cant see why Asus would put a crap screen in the eee pc.

If you say so, i dont know anything about photo/video editing so i have no idea what programs and what versions are good/bad, new/old.

kinda yeah, resolution is how many dots the screen has, but its relative to the size to the screen, if you see to screens that are the size but different resolutions, go for the one with the higher resolution as it will be shaper.
like i said asus wont use a crap display, most laptops screens are normaly fine, its the GPU that is the importent part.

thanks for the info mac,

seems most laptops are 1280x800 res in the 12-14 inch range

was looking at this acer - http://www.acer.co.uk/acer/product....angedAlts=&kcond5e.c2att92=122&CRC=1164770960

im going to have to try out those eee laptops and see if the screen is big enough for editing
