Need a video recorder program.. thingy.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this..

I need some sort of video recorder program that will record videos on my computer. I don't think a webcam would work or not, but please tell me.

What i'm talking about is say that I wanted to record something on Google Earth, a video that is. I was thinking about this for PPT presentations on countries. Like I could record a video of going from Seattle to Turkey on my computer. Is there any kind of program that will do it? Or something thats under 100$? THANKS!

i am kinda confused by what you are asking but if you are wanting to record what your screen is displaying there are programs out there that basically create screenshot video of what your screen is doing. Search google for screen recorders and you should find a few

HyperCam 2 is OK. Not the best, but I'll get it done simply. The faster the computer, the less choppy the video will be.

What you could use is a video card with TV Out and a capture card. Just capture the video. Unfortunetly, to get decent quality, you need a fairly nice capture card... Usally the ones with the best quality are at least $80-100. However, you'd still have to worry about software. Not all come with decent software, nor is the good software easy to use.
