Need a way to lockout grandson from accessing game sites.

My 9 year old grandson is completely losing his mind playing games and I need a way to shut him off when he starts getting violent. I have a password on my computer, but he is constantly watching for me to make a mistake like going to the restroom without logging out. He is getting to the point of breaking things while trying to pull him away from the computer and then starts yelling and screaming so the whole neighborhood can hear. :mad:

He used to have his own user account but he is too smart for me to keep him off the gaming sites so I had to delete him altogether. :(

He is a really good kid when there isn’t a computer around.:)
 
This is indicative of a larger problem that isn't caused by a computer or games...

If you googled "parental control software" you'd probably have some success finding something to do what your after if you want something that's more user friendly.

I spent $60 on parental control software many years ago for my own kids and it didn't work so I'm a little skeptical these days.

I thought I could block web sites in my browser or my bit defender, but I can't find any places to do it and I don't have a clue on how to do it through my router, but its worth looking into.

This is outrageous, this kid shouldn't be allowed to get violent, shout, scream..etc It he does, maybe he shouldn't be using a computer at all. You are going out of your way to solve a problem that, isn't yours first off, and second one that you, as the grandparent shouldn't be subjected to.

Why are the kids parents not controlling, teaching, and disciplining this child? I'm not judging, but this is shameful.

Anyway enough of my rant. My grandson is basically a good kid and I love him dearly because I raised him for 4 years in my house until my daughter got married. Like I mentioned before he just gets lost while playing games and doesn't like to lose or having to quit playing. I imagine that's all he does when staying with his farther.

He always says he’s not going to get mad before playing and I keep telling him that I’m going to video record him so he sees how it really is. Who knows it might help him.
 
All I know is I am louder, scarier, and have more power over any ungrateful little shit.

I would never tolerate, dont tolerate, and will put any little shit in line faster than you can blink, I think it's insanity that any adult puts up with shit from a child.

I said I wasn't judging, but I guess I am.. shame on you and the kids parents for enabling a brat - that kinda of shit is gonna get him knocked out in school by a kid like I was, who doesn't allow disrespect.

But spiraling outta control is what happens when I see a thread that angers up the blood. I can tell by the response from the OP that he permits the obnoxious and disrespectful behavior - that is why children like his grandson act the way they do - because the adults in his life allow it.

Stop letting the kid run the asylum and you'll be amazed at what happens.

Now... I don't think calling him Hitler is the correct use of the word. @Laquer Head just seems to believe in strict discipline, and is willing to enforce that to this generation kids who take everything for granted and think they deserve everything and not work for it.

Yeah, I haven't gassed or tortured any kids... they may say otherwise, but really..kids say the darndest things.

Which is why I'm telling you to stop, now.

This is a computer forum. He asked a tech question. Which seems to have been mostly answered. If it continues I'll just be locking this.
