Need Advice for Comp Fans. Please Help

Hello

I finally fixed up my computer and working for a month or 2 now but I don't have any fans on them. I would like to know which ones to buy at a decent price. I don't understand what are 80mm and 120mm mean. I want a strong but silent fan at a price range of $15-$20 a piece that would be great. Please help me out because I need 3 fans. My tower is so hot. I run my computer 24hours a day 7 days a week. I always keep it on to download. Which fan do you prefer. My friend told me about the Thermal Take ones but I am not too sure which one to get. If you can help me out choose which one is better that would be excellent. Thank you in advance for your time and patience responding to my thread. :)

Have a look around www.ebuyer.co.uk and look in the cooling section. 80mm fans are standard size and probably what will fit in you case. Just measure one of the fan grills to see what size you need. Thermaltake are a good make but can sometimes be pricy, as long as it does the job it will be fone, you dont treally need to buy a brand name (although i have ANTEC ones which are also very good)

Thats a pretty nifty fan, I have 5 case fans in my PC, all a mixture of 80mm and 120mm. 120mm are quiter but tend not to move much air. If your not worried about sound and want to move a lot of air then gor for 80mm.

Hmmm

Not so sure about the 120mms moving less air. In fact they usually blow in equal if not more air than standard 80mm fans. The neat thing is that they do not need to run so fast in order to blow equal amounts of air as teh 80mms and therefore tend to be more quiet (not all!).

JAN :D

i think the best 120's are the antec low rpm low noise fans, there realy quiet when you mount them with the clear rubber things, and if your case can hold'em , i would go for 120's over 80's ne day
