Hi, im adding some better components to my other pc, im buying 2gb of Crucial Ballistix and i thought i would buy a new pcie graphics card to go with it. I was looking at the Sapphire x1600 Pro 512mb. It looks nice, the specs dont look that bad and its only £90. I dont really want to spend more than that anyway, but does anyone know more about this gpu and can you point me to any reviews, because i cant find any. Thanks

I would recommend getting the 7600GS/GT for that budget. They perform significantly better as well. The x1600PRO isnt going to show a significant improvement over your current 6600GT, so i would either go with what I suggested, or wait until you can afford a better card, such as the 7900GT.

Hey, that looks like a pretty good video card. Like you said, the specs look good. I couldn't find any user reviews actually but I'll just tell you what I know (for what it's worth). PCI video cards are going to offer less performance than an AGP video card with similar specs but nonetheless I think you'll find this video card satisfactory. I can speak for Sapphire products as I have always bought and used Sapphire video cards (as I am right now). Unless you are into some really really hard core video editing or gaming, I think that this video card will be perfect for you.

Good Luck!

who said anything about PCI vid cards? In his sig it says he uses PCI-express.

Anyways, that 7600GS/GT would serve you well, but if you have the money I would go with the 7900gt, as you'd notice a much bigger difference.
