I have an M7NCD Pro motherboard which gives me the option of having a maximum of either 2Gb of Dual Channel memory or 3Gb of Single Channel memory. (At least I think that's how it works. I'm not sure if 3 1Gb Dual Channel chips will work or not.) Which of the two is the better option? I'm also having trouble finding out if my motherboard supports ecc and registered memory or not. I've checked the manual and their website, but they don't say anything about it. Can someone please help me out with this?

The 2GB Dual Channel would be the best performance, and why would you need ECC Registered memory?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I read that ecc was faster than nonecc, and uregistered was faster than registered, but you couldn't get unregistered in chips of more than 1Gb. For the most part, I just want to know what is compatible with my motherboard so I don't spend $150+ and realize that when it gets here my computer won't boot up with it installed.
