Need Advice With My Laptop

I have an old laptop with a cracked screen. I really want to get rid of it and I know I could get a little money for it as is but the problem is that there is still a ton of crap on the computer, pictures, documents, music, etc that I don't really want someone else to be able to access. Is there any way for me to get that all off the computer without fixing the screen? Or would it be a better idea to just replace the screen and then sell the laptop for me? Thanks for your help.

You can take the hard drive out of the laptop and slave it to a desktop computer and copy the files over that way or put the drive in an external enclosure and copy data over that way. Don't even bother replacing the screen if its that old and then try to sell it, you won't get your money back out of it.
